Injection therapy to reduce fine “spider veins” of the legs.
Sclerotherapy utilizes a special chemical (sclerosant) that scars the inside of the veins being injected and enables closure of the offending vessels. This procedure is considered the standard of care for spider veins and larger “feeder vessels” of the legs. These unsightly and sometimes uncomfortable leg veins, when treated, become one of the most positive and satisfying results for both patient and practitioner.
Compression is applied immediately after the procedure and is to remain in place for 48 to 72 hours.
The winter months are suggested to begin your treatment as a follow up procedure is recommended.
