Education
Dr. Jacobs earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Rochester in 1968 before attending Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated cum laude in 1971. He continued his training at Vanderbilt University, completing a combined residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and General Surgery from 1971 through 1975.
Following his residency, Dr. Jacobs remained at Vanderbilt serving as the Acting Chairman of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery until 1977. He then relocated to Virginia Beach to complete a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine where he established the foundation for his career in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery

Everyone in this entire office is so nice and insightful! Dr. Jacob’s and his team guided me through the process of a breast reduction. I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Jacob and his team. From the moment I met him, I knew I was in good hands. His witty humor immediately put me at ease during the pre-operative session, and his pleasant bedside manner made me feel comfortable and confident in his abilities.
His nurse, Felicia, is also a gem. She is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and I never felt rushed or ignored when calling in with questions. In fact, even after hours, I was able to reach the after-hours answering service, who stayed on the line with me to reassure me that Dr. Jacob would call me back within 30 minutes. And true to their word, he did, even though he was out of town at an event. He found a quiet place to return my call and answered my questions reassuringly.
During my recovery, I had some questions and concerns, and Dr. Jacob took the time to speak to my physician and coordinate my care. His support and dedication to his patients truly set him apart. I am so grateful for his outstanding care and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a skilled and compassionate surgeon. Dr. Jacob is a rare breed, and I am thankful to have been under his care.
