Breast Reconstruction

This 54-year-old female, with cancer in her right breast, chose to undergo bilateral mastectomies and immediate breast reconstruction with tissue expanders and acellular dermal matrix. She did not require chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

Additional surgery to exchange tissue expanders for gel implants and reconstruct nipple-areolar complexes was performed. Follow-up photos are 1 ½ and 4 ½ years from her first operation.
