The 63-year-old female presented with concerns about the appearance of the skin of her abdomen. She required several GYN procedures previously resulting in a deep, vertical scar that extended from the belly button to the pubic area. Other than that scar, she was generally satisfied with her the appearance of her abdomen. She underwent a skin-only abdominoplasty to improve the appearance of her scar. She chose not to include liposuction or muscle repair because they were not important to her and she did not want to increase her recovery time. It was not possible to remove all of the vertical scar, but it was mobilized inferiorly and closed so it isn’t as depressed and is no longer causing shadowing that made it more noticeable.
