Procedure Details
This 36 year old mother of two presented with concerns about diastasis rectus as well as an umbilical hernia. She underwent a mini abdominoplasty along with the repair of her hernia and malpositioned muscles. The skin excision was largely minimal and predominantly designed to proved access to repair the muscle defect. Release of the skin from below is necessary to prevent the skin from gathering in a pleat in the midline. She is shown six months post operatively. Her scar will continue to improve over time.
