For many patients, the energy and vitality they feel inside does not match the image they see in the mirror. A facelift procedure provides our patients with a way to restore harmony by looking more like they feel. The effects of gravity on the appearance of the face are varied but usually unavoidable. Sun, tobacco and wind can play a role in the development of lax skin and wrinkles. Change in the form and position of the facial bones and loss of fat also lead to visual changes associated with aging.

The facelift procedure is now customizable for all variations of aging. Based on our patients’ needs, we are able to offer a variety of services ranging from the mini facelift, for the patient with limited evidence of facial aging, to a full facelift.

The facelift is often accomplished with both upper and lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) as well as a brow lift to gain a more harmonious outcome. In a modern day facelift, the deep tissues and skin are tightened, and fat is sculptured, removed or rearranged to restore a more youthful appearance to the face and neck. In some procedures, fat is collected through liposuction techniques and then transferred to the facial area to replace the fullness lost to aging. The facelift effect can also be approximated non-surgically through the use of fillers, such as Radiesse®, Juvederm ®and Restylane®.
