Botox® and Dysport® (muscle relaxers)
Botox®
Botulinum toxin type A is used for temporarily weakening facial muscles. These muscles are involved in causing facial lines and the appearance of aging. The result is less wrinkles and a more youthful appearance. It is most commonly used to improve the wrinkles between the eyebrow, and “crows feet” or smile lines. Other areas of potential improvement include, but are not limited to, forehead wrinkles, laugh lines on the nose, lip lines, and elevating down turned corners of the mouth. Botox® also can elevate the position the eyebrows producing a brighter expression.
The injections are completed with mild discomfort only. Botox® is a very safe treatment with few undesirable side effects. The procedures are extraordinarily safe in the hands of our trained Doctors and Nurses. The consultation and procedure should take no more than a half hour.

Dysport
Like Botox, Dysport is an injectable form of botulinum toxin Type A. Some patients have reported a quicker onset of results with Dysport, sometimes within 24 hours. Botox may take 3-5 days to work.
The cost of Dysport is less than that of Botox, but the manufacturers of both products are offering coupons and rebates.
